Corvette Taranis - Discontinued?

Upon looking up The Corvette Taranis on many online musical retailers that deal Warwick, the Taranis always comes up as Discontinued.

I already own the 4 string, but im thinking about buying the 5 string version aswell...however, like i said...every place i have checked says it is a discontinued product.

Is this true?
 
That might mean that those dealers are no longer going to be carrying the Taranis.
As far as i know,it's still a production model.

speaking of discontinued basses, is it actually possible to buy a dolphin Pro 1 anywhere???? I've been looking around the internet and no one sells them anymore (not that i can afford one, but when i'm a millionaire in a few years time i'll still need to know where to get one lol)

The Taranis comes in 5-string ?

I don't get it. Isn't the whole
schtik of the Taranis that it's a
ready-to-play BEAD 4-string ?

IOW, as a 4-string, it's specific
purpose bass, but as a 5-string
wouldn't it be just another bass
with 5-strings ?​



 




Ok. So I double checked the details.

The coolest thing about a Taranis is
that its "J-PU" is not really a J-type
cuz it has large solitary pole slugs,
like a Delano or an EBMM "J-PU".

The rest of what differentiates it from
an FNA JazzMan is just the absence
of both the maple cap and active EQ.
So it seems that everything about the
Taranis could easily remain available
whether or not a Taranis model name
survives. All of those details could be
minor options of the FNA JazzMan, if
Warwick chose to do it that way.

Basically,...like you said Golem, its a ready made passive BEAD jazzman-esc ash bass with extra large pole pieces...I wouldn't use it as my main halberd, but it would be fun to swing around a few tunes....and the sandblasted and plastic-like finish and ovangkol neck looks and feels soooo cool to me!8:

oh well, I guess I'll just go suck on my Thumb....:lol:
