hi i order my corvette the other day as most of you know and i was wondering what the growl out of it will be like and will it be good 4 drop tuning see i loved it cos of its neck and the sound was great but the amp i played in was realy shit so any idears ?
 
i dunno, anyone corect me if im wrong but its ash NT construction wont do the trademark warwick growl much justice but it would still be an unbelievable bass rite :D
 
With a maple neck it won't have much "growl" at all. The Warwick growl is all about ovangkol and wenge necks. It will however have a ton of punch and a huge presence.

All Warwick's are excellent for drop tunings because of all the adjustable features - nut, bridge, etc.
 
I think it will have growl, but definitely not as present as with the Thumb or SSII. I think the Wenge board will give the bass a bit of the traditional Warwick growl, as is the case with the SSI............... 8)
 
A Bubingna NT$$ with an ovangkol neck, now That would be growly!
 
How does the bass sound to you. If you like the tone don't worry about it...
 
Yeah dude, it sounds like you're suffering some pretty bheavy buyers remorse/anxiety.

If you liked the bass you tried, and the way it sounded, then thats gonna be a far better indicator of its sound than a bunch of (again, madly subjective) descriptions of sounds from other forum members.

Just chill...you loved the first one you played so much that you placed an order for one of your own. It's almost definitely gonna be an amazing bass to play, hear and look at. Trust me, You'll love it.
