Ebony sounds a bit brighter than rosewood

what?!?!?! a bit? it sounds damn much brighter than rosewood. If you want a dark sounding bass go with wenge and maybe changing the neck wood would be a good idea

Nothing offence intended here guys but one thing I've noticed is that most people used to say ebony sounded dark until Seth said it sounds bright.Now everyone says it's bright.Imo the fingerboard only contrubutes a small amount to the overall tone,but that's another matter.

didn't got that info from seth, it came from the wood properties of the warmoth website (gonna order a new neck for my JB soon)

Thumbin was saying he's going to be making things like this but I havent seen hide nor hair of him lately.Maybe he modded his bass once too often & he's busy screwing it back together. :lol:
