I'm sorry, but I'm just blown away by the sound AND volume of my new Thumb. I really can't believe the HUGE difference. Even with my combo way down, and the Thumb in passive, the impact and clarity of the Thumb just blows away my MIM Fender Jazz. I was really expecting a big improvement, but not this much.

The only thing that I was a bit worried about was some people feel that the neck is a bit thick on the Thumb--I am not one of those people. Again for me, I find it more comfortable than my Jazz--and I think my Jazz feels good.

Yeah necks are a funny thing.What feels thick to some,might feel thin to others.Nobody's hands are the same & things feel differently to every one of us.That's why I'll never say one neck is better than another,it's up to the individual how it feels "in their Hands".

I was one of those guys who thinks the thumb 5 string necks were huge..... Now that I have played an upright bass it just feels comfy.
