Battery panel of the earlier Rockbasses

I have nothing to say against the Rockbasses except for this one thing. My Rockbass' battery panel is bolted with 5 screws. Usually guitars/basses with active pickups have covers which can easily be removed by hand. So far I didn't have trouble of dead batteries on stage but it might happen some time in the future. If that happens I will be in trouble because it will take much time to unscrew them, change batteries, then screw it again.

I don't know if Warwick fixed this problem with the latter models. I bought mine just this year (second hand) and looking at the serial number, it was made in 2002.

I got a really cheap battery tester. It's a little plastic thing and gives a quick indication of whether you're fully charged up or not. If it's not right up there I'd change it before a gig. As long as you don't leave your jack plugged in, the battery should last months anyway.

Just put a new battery in before you go on stage,thats what I do so I know the battey is good.I use the old ones at home where it doesn't matter if they die.

Well, changing the battery before going to stage is the best thing to do. I always carry an extra battery in my gig bag.
