wow thanks for the pics greg, this shop looks amazing, so many warwicks compared to the hobart shop( only has a vette $$ and a thumb BO, wish i was in sydney.

They have some great MM's right now.Peter,one of the sales guys plays them & knows alot about them.He's the guy I stole all that Flea info off in one of Davids bass casts.
You guys should subscribe.


David (Bass People) hosts it & there's 31 episodes to download so far.
I made a thread about this a year or so ago but couldnt find it.

The local music shop (There are two in the city, one quite bad, one quite good) doesn't take good care of their basses, and they aren't set up so good. Many have dead strings, and there is a corvette std ash there that looks like it has been thrown to the ground and stepped on with belt buckles. It's horrible =S
And the only warwicks they have is the corvette stds, a ltd '03 thumb and a rockbass corvette 5 string. When I wanna try a SSII, SSI, Stryker, Buzzard, Thumb BO/NT, Infinity. etc.
So remember, TRONDHEIM! =A
 
I used to complain how the high end Warwicks were not available in regular music shops and in the same breath b!#ched about the in-store care was lacking. Imo, only the high end stores should carry top of the line gear because I'd rather have to travel to see a good bass than have one close by that is in poor shape. Besides, it's kind of special walking into a REAL music shop and have access to rare gems. Great find Greg! They really should hire you.
 
I'd definitely visit if I get to Sydney! You guys gotta teach my local distributors a thing or two on how to take care of their guitars!

I`ve always had a thing for this brand, but they are just too expensive.

I've been in a few times to speak to the crew in there and they are all great guys. The range of warwicks (or MTD/Fender/EBMM/Lakland/G&L/Alembic) is the best in sydney. For anyone even remotely interested in bass it's worth the trip.

As i said to Dave when i walked in, how can you not be impressed with a gorgeous Infinity sitting there straight in front of you.
 
Ritter bass.

Hey bass folks.I was driving past the best bass shop on earth today & noticed they're new Ritters were in the window.I've been waiting for this,I love Ritter basses.I only had enough time to take a quick pic of each Ritter & buy a cd that I already own.Luckily the ever helpful Joel Burton,pictured holding one of the Ritters below,is letting me swap it.Imagine me stealing music online?I cant buy it over the counter properly.
So here's the 3 stunning Ritter basses at Bass people,they're around $10,000 to $12,000AU (that's each :wink: ).The necks are seriouslt thin & they ooze style & quality in every way.There's also some pics of Bass People's self designed & installed,one of a kind amp/cab switch board.Joel tells me there's alot of wires running around in the walls & ceiling of the amp room.
The Bass People website will be up hopefully at the end of next week.
