i just got both of my JAN IIIs in the mail the other day. i was wondering, does it matter which JANIII goes on which bass or are they exactally the same? both of my basses are right handed fretted 5 strings. didn't know if this mattered at all. both of the JANIIIs look the same, i can't really see any reason why it should matter which bass they go on. anyway, any feedback would be helpful, thanks alot!

The only differences in JAN3 are (to my knowledge):

- standard 5 string vs. broadneck 5 string
- fretted vs. fretless
- lefthand vs righthand

So for you it shouldn't matter; both nuts are identical.

did you have to pay for them? or did they send you them for free?

G'day HD,contact your countries distributor for a new JAN3.

lol i already did and they gave me nothing:( they said they dont deal with the end customer and to go back to the store i got it from. Who will probly charge me:( lol i wouldnt mind usually but i just spent 2 grand on a bass so im understandably a little short on cash lol

Well,

it's a shame that different distributors have different policies concerning the JAN, but hey, it's only like 5$ for a JAN3.....................

They are the same. The Thumb NT and SS2 have the same nut width, the only differences would be the base for the nut, which is either fretted height or fretless height - the nuts themselves are identical. ~M~
