2011 Warwick Streamer LX LTD... additional info not on site ?

2011 Streamer LX LTD Warwick site

I just bought this sight unseen. Looks awesome, sounds awesome from the clips I have, got a good price

Questions I have are

1) Neck width at nut & last fret

2) Pickups wired in parallel or series

I see they are ceramics which are great, my favorite. Love all the maple. its on its way so I haven't tried it yet

Yup... but are they wired in Series or Parallel?

also... whats the stock strings on these things?

Whats the width of the neck at the last fret & nut?

Ernie ball Stingray... wired in parallel, Sterling... wired in series... HUGE difference in addition to the alinco\ceramic difference.

I'd be very interested to know !:?:
 
IIRC German ones are now all come wearing EMP strings, that is, Warwick brand, stainless steel coated strings. And frikkin great they are.
Neck dimensions i would assume as there is no mention of a different neck profile would be the same as the LX standard model.

No idea about series/parallell, and i agree that wi probably one of the biggest things you can modify in a humbucker'd bass. Maybe the duncan site will provide answeres, it is an all-SD rig in these babies. BTW congrats ona VERY tasty LX man. sexy as hell with the block inlays.

Appreciate that man. I usually prefer series, but lets see what happens! Anxious about this bad boy. Pics when it comes in

EDIT: Still can't find the dimensions of the neck... any help?
 
congrats btw this is a great bass
regarding series/parallel I too prefer series often but this one has a 3 band eq where you can bring in the mids nicely:-)
the youtube vids from Ed Friedland say it all I think:-)
 
I just installed a sent of Duncan ASB2-5 pickups in an instrument, and recommend them wholeheartedly if you're not in love with the humbucker tone.

Interesting... I'm not a big modify the bass guy but if it isn't my fancy I'll consider that.
 
It should be a direct retrofit for what you already have, so it's not a visually disruptive mod or anything.

It'll only change the magnet configuration, which is something I was really into. In fact, I got Delano to make me similar pickups for my Streamer (baby has to go under the knife now).

Could you change the wiring from parallel to series easily as well?
 
If you're talking about the ASB2-5, it's split coil, so there's no series/parallel anything.

If you're talking about your current pickups, it should all simply be just resoldering wires - I'm not exactly sure what's what, but it shouldn't be difficult.
 
Incoming on Thursday... man I'm really nervous on this one... I'm hoping its not scooped in the mids with the pickups & parallel wiring... we will see

I still cant find the exact dimensions of the neck width at nut & last fret but I've been told it isn't Ibanez thin or Spector thick which SHOULD put it somewhere near Ernieball Sterling 5 neck (1-3/4" (44.5 mm) at nut 2-3/4"" (69.9 mm) at last fret), neck radius 11"

I wish Warwick put these specs somewhere on their site

Thanks, its been super busy at work with my associate calling out... i just missed it ! Thanks

Unfortunately I've been mislead to believe the spacing is 17 - 17.5mm spacing but that PDF clearly states 16-16.5mm. I really hope the spacing can go to 17.5mm
 
I had to back out on the deal... 16mm - 16.5mm spacing was just too small. I was so excited to grab this. What a nice bass. Total shame
 
Hey buddy, spacing is 16,5 as factory standard and can be easily set to 17,5. I did that to my basses.
Pretty much Music Man style, if you look at their necks they are not wide, but the strings are almost to the edge of the fingerboard. So if you don'd have a problem playingd EFGFJBOIIING!, from time to time, it is not a problem to set it at 17,5 :)
