Any ideas of the value of such a beast?

Serial number ends 86, EMG pups, one-piece bridge, gold hardware, finished in creamy-blonde paint (apparently original, with only 1 or 2 dings), plays really nice.

Considering buying for £1000 sterling - is this about right? I kind of think that might be a bargain. Any advice?

(And apologies for posting this on two forums - don't want to miss out...)

The price is good, and I guess it is even a bargain considering this is a very rare bass. You will love it!
 
if you like the thumbsound then the price is more as fair + it's a rare white vintage!:)
