Hey Now!
So I just joined the warwick world when I picked up a brand new 2006 Thumb BO Fretless for an amazing price. It was sitting around the shop I guess since 2006. The place has a lot of Warwicks in stock. Its a beauty and growls like no tomorrow. It is a complete opposite of my...
so a friend of mine dropped by to try out a couple of 5s that I have to see if they're more to his liking in the studio and in return for this favour he dropped off one of his 4, Vampyres for me to have a go on.
It's a gloss black 5 string SN Vampyre. So far so good!!
definitely a...
Does anyone have this setup in their SSI? I just put the aguilar in my SSI and the low end seem to be really 'woofy' sounding.
I am using the same setup as before when the mec preamp was in it, all flat on the eden.
Do you think the Aguilar may be a bad match for the MEC pick ups?
I just received my Rock Bass Corvete standard that I bought on ebay. It came with the strings loose. As I was tightening them up I noticed that the nut was two piece. Is this normal or is the nut broken?
Hey Warwickheads
I'm working on saving up for my custom fortress at this point, and I need some help deciding a couple of key factors:
One - I'm getting an afzelia body, with either a birdseye poplar, spalted maple, or birdseye maple top. Considering the tops are 1", are these woods going...
Long Beach Marathon gig. Started at 8am. Yes 8am. Thunder at 8am. Paid for by the fine city of Long Beach. 1,000's of people coming and going all day. 4th year of us playing this particular gig. This Corvette is for sale in the for sale section.
C-man
I tried a Corvette 5 string with active electronics and bubinga body today and I must say, it really give my thumb a run for the money. I really wish I hadnt touched it because now Im jonesin to pick it up, and if I do so, I will be cutting into my CS savings fund.
danr you Warwick for...
1 week ago to the day, I purchased a $$ fretted 4.
I've since become familiar with it at home, and in one rehearsal where it cut through and laid in the mix to perfection.
But last night, I broke the instrument in on the job- With one of my projects, a 3-piece rhythm section backing a Female...
hi.
i thought i'll share my eq settings with you, and probably get some tips to make things sound even better...
i'm playing a corvette fna through a gallien krueger head & a trace elliot 4*10 box (about 400w i think).
the rehearsal is in a room that is 3 on 7 meters and has fairly good...
hi there.
in this post, i'm going to tell you what worked well for me.
the body of my bass is colored oil finish, so it was only the neck that had to be treated. (the wood seemed dry)
there's this shop called "praktiker". they have everything you need, and they seem to have the lowest...
So, I strung up my Jazzman with the C string, and ditched the B. It's only been a week, but so far I like it better than before. I never thought I'd enjoy/utilize the extra treble, but I do. Real nice for chords and melody.
I have been searching for an economical (+/- $50 USD) gig bag for my bass with lots of padding and lots of storage space for cords and tools and junk!
I like the Warwick bag, but it leave a little to be desired as far as storage.
I need padding, and stoage. Suggestions?
Ok, I have some questions on the Corvette FNA Jazzman with the coil split switch. I don't really care about the 2004 LTD.
I have not seen any in person. I have tried reading some of the reviews and searching the boards to get a feel for what they sound like.
1. Can they sound like a...
