Just out of curiosity, has anybody here ever changed their bridge from a Warwick one to anything else?

been using my wick for more than a year and its already showing a lot of love ;p. the bridge nut, is corroded, like rusted and can scrap the top part with my nails. i always wipe it clean after every gig and shows but it doesn't seem to help. what can i do to protect it from further damage?
