been using my wick for more than a year and its already showing a lot of love ;p.

the bridge nut, is corroded, like rusted and can scrap the top part with my nails. i always wipe it clean after every gig and shows but it doesn't seem to help.

what can i do to protect it from further damage?

once clean you can repaint it with spray paint I guess. (I guess you refer to the bridge saddles right?). just make sure you unscrew it from the bridge and the wait after the paint is dry to reinstall it.

To get rid of rust/corrosion etc use WD-40, will clean most things.

yea its a saddle so a small wd-40 will work to prevent and remove the corrosion and prevent further corrosion?

Ya sure it's not just the bare metal you're seeing, rather than rust?

i got no issues with bare metal, its like the saddle got deformed at the top, pieces of flake metal can be scrap with my nails :(

Maybe what's flaking off is primer under
the black paint ? I thought the saddles
themselves were stainless steel ? IIRC I
had once thought they were brass, but
then Greg or Flo corrected me ... [?]
