Hey guys,
I'm embarking on a refinish of my LX 6 that has a broken JAN II, and I'm wondering if anyone has a JAN I or III in any material/finish (obviously the JAN I was only brass) they would part with. Thanks in advance!
I'm looking for a two JANs (just-a-nuts): One JAN I or III for a non-broadneck 6-string and one brass JAN I or JAN III for a non-broadneck 5-string. Let me know if you have an extra you don't need. Before anyone mentions it - yes, I've seen the current ABM brass adjustable nuts Thanks!
Hello kind Warwick users!! I was browsing the Warwick online shop today, as I always do at work and noticed there are new Brass Just-A-Nut 3's ? Holy cow, very cool!!!
How does on acquire one here in the United States, Minnesota?
I am an employee of Schmitt Music and according to our MI...

How do you prefer your nuts?
1. Space-age polymers (JAN3?)
or
2. Cu-Zn (JAN1?)
I have a new JAN3, sandpaper, superglue, a razor, and a 1997 Fortress One with a brass JAN1 that is staring at me. Should I go to work and replace the nut? Who prefers...
Hi guys i have a problem I'm hoping you can help me with. I recently bought a used 1998 thumb BO. It has a wenge neck and fret board and the brass residue (green stuff) is impregnated in the wood on the fret board. Not just a mild case really bad,So i bought some lemon oil like I've read here...
I'm sorry if this has been covered before. I don't seem to be able to use the search effectively. Maybe someone could direct me to a thread if its been a topic.
Is anyone using just a plain brass or bone nut on their Warwick bass? Is it possible? I haven't taken the JAN3 apart but I'm not...
Hey, guys,
I've got a decision to make... DBG has been kind enough to loan me a Hellborg amp system for a little while because they wanted me to be able to speak intelligently about it with customers. Well, the time has come for me to put up or shut up. I either have to buy this rig or send...
in my pants...JUST KIDDING! i got one for my bass, my lovely corvette. it sounds, feels (i don't know how) and looks better! and i didn't have to mod it at all! it just popped right in. i'll post some pictures later. my only complaint is that you have to loosen the strings to make adjustments...
Here we go again.
Someone (Lex???) posted a tips about a brass polish pad which doesn't leave green residue on the fretboard.
Please... what's the brand and where do I buy it?
Ok...it seems the previous owner to my 97' Warwick Streamer said the current brass nut may be stiff (the individual adjusters *screw*) so I may need to anyways get a replacement to be safe atleast :D
Anyone know where I can get one? UK please
in advance...Im not interested in the JAN...
Sorry mods if this is in the wrong section. Move if need be.
Before you ask, I'm not endorsing or selling this product. I heard about it last week on talkbass.com, and decided to give it a try. You guys ever get tired of masking your fretboard off when you clean your frets? How about that...
Hello people,
Been tweaking the setup on my 87 Streamer and I can't get it just as I'd like it - it seems when I adjust the truss rod getting the relief as I'd like it, it leaves it a little flat nearer the nut and I get buzzing when fretting notes around the 5-7th frets.
I'm thinking I...
I wanted to replace my JAN II with a brass nut. I saw that they offer it through Warwick store, but on the photo of the nut there is just the saddle of the nut! Can someone tell me do you get the whole nut or just the saddle??
tnx
When my 97 vette gets here it will be set up for CGCF with large guage strings, like 65-125. The pro said the nut would have to be altered for this and I would need a new nut to go back to EADG. If I ever take it out of CGCF I plan to go BEAD anyways but will the altered nut devalue it if I ever...
My new Custom Shop Corvette Standard arrived today (see my post on the Custom Shop forum). One of the options I selected was the brass nut. The owners manual doesn't address this nut for obvious reasons. Can someone give me a brief instruction on how to make adjustments should I need to...
What's your opinion about W 2 pieces brass bridges ?
I tried an old thumb with the 2 pieces brass bridge and unplugged, it sounded
like it was a better slap machine than my 96 and 01 thumb (both with wenge neck), but I prefer the overall sound of later ones when plugged.
I liked much the...
I just got a brass version of the JAN2 made... Going to pick it up at my in-laws house around 6 tonight... from what I heard my father-in-law made 2 of them for me... Not sure why as I dont think the brass one will break. But I'll post pics of them as soon as I can.
hi,
in what year did Warwick start using brass frets?
is the brass jumbo fretwire availiable to luthiers or is it manufactured specifically for Warwick?
thanks,
Elad.
