Would this Nut fit on a warwick?

im a little worried about the dirty blonde coming to me since it has a JAN2 and there are far too many horror stories regarding that nut...

so before something happens, im already preparing for the worst...

would that nut fit on a 2006 dirty blonde? ...

i would like to get a JAN3 ... but the website really charges exorbitant prices ... i cant even get a machine head because of their shipping fees.
 
JAN2's can last a LONG time if you're careful with them. Whenever you're changing strings, always keep in mind to reduce lateral tension by leaving the A on until last and put it back on first with some tension on it. This will keep the other strings from pulling the nut to one side and breaking the tabs. If it ain't broke... :wink: ~M~
 
When JAN2 breaks it just loses virginity. I have no problems playing with a broken one :)
 
3 of my 4 wicks have broken ones. I even has no sides to it. They still work the same.
 
If you have to replace it, I would go with an official Warwcik nut...

I think it would be very tricky. The height must be perfect, otherwise it's practically useless............. :?
 
I'd buy a JAN 3 still...
And about the stories you heard about JAN 2, actually nothing really happens, the wings are braking not the nu itself, and it doesn't really matters because the nut stays in its place anyway. So, relax :-)
