Anyone know can set this thing up in B F#B E? Ive done it onther basses. It wont hurt anything will it. I dont want to take a chance a screwin this one?
 
Heres a better pic. Not great but better. Imma have my Wifey get out the SLR tomorrow if its sunny. I polished the frets. Frekin RUSTED man RUST really? The fingerboard must have taken 20 drops of bore oil. fret buzz from hell. But i dropped her to b anyway so. I think i may take it back to standard E. Im not sure its right for my band, but iima play the snot out of it anyway.
I love this thing only after a couple hours. It sounds really good when i DIG IN.

So after cleaning the Thumb up. Little steel wool some 600 grit sand paper a little bit of 320 some bore oil and some Howards feed and wax. I have determined that i love this thing. Only its not nearly as thick in hte bottom as my Ash corvette. I assume this is just the Ash talking???
I dont think it sounds as good in BF#BE as the Corvette through my Carvin and a Traynor 8x10 anyway.
Anyone got any setup suggestions. Ive lowered the PU's in to body a good bit to get more of an even output between the two basses as i would like to play both during a set. I dont need the high G# string in some songs and its easier to play FAST on a 4.

is it just the Ash taht makes the BIG bottom?
 
Awesome, I love the way it changes from left handed to right handed and back. Got to get no one of those. :)

It is the ash, and the pickup position. Actually the thumb should have a pretty much tighter and usable low B.
When you want low tunings, you don't want boomy notes, or big bottom as you say ;-)

Perhaps its just me and i like BOOMY as you say.

Maybe the Thumb doesnt like my amp?
 
Have you tried them in studio or on a large PA?
 
I have been thinking about doing some DI recordings with both guitars to A/B them for about four days. Every time i think i can go sit in my studio something always comes up.

Ill even post the tracks once i can do it. I think im gonna throw my SR1000 in there and make it an A/B/C.

My band doesnt have much PA at all. We dont play out right now. To busy trying to write our lyrics. Oh man how i love poetry! Anyhow, no PA to try them on. They both sound great in thier own respects. And the thumb sounds fukken killer through my Carvin R600 and my 2x8+1x15 combo amp. If anyone likes small rigs and you come across a Cyclops GET IT!!!.

Its just the very bottom. I dotn know maybe the studio will tell.
