Scubadiver... I tried out a bubinga corvette std recently and it sounded awesome! In fact... If I didn't already have a $$, I'd be hard pushed to say which one I preferred - $$ more versatile, but the bubinga has a great basic tone..
Back to the thread.. the NBK $$ is the one to have - but anything in bubinga (or ovangkol) will have to be natural and waxed up!
