What type of music do you play on your Warwick?

After viewing some polls here i wondered, is the amount of Metal bassist amongst Warwick users greater than other brands?

To answer this question i made this poll

OK. So, if you would be so kind as to answer this inquiry
from someone who absolutely cannot accept that you've
created a new genre call Alt-Fun-Krock, what is it really ?

I mean, if you were not allowed to invent a genre name,
what existing and widely familiar genre name would you
you find yourself using ?

Your reply suggests you would choose "Funk", but poll
results indicate you must have chosen "Rock" cuz at the
moment, there are zero votes in the "Funk" genre.

Within the catagories offered I chose "Pop" cuz
we kinda stick to a rule that if no one wants to
hear it, we won't play it. We make no pretense

From solos, funk, rock, to metal, punk,
grunge, hillbilly, and everything in
between.

My Warwick fulfills my every need.

Except for my need for it to be a Sterling sometimes. =D

Apparently, Warwick is the Other bass ....

Kinda like Fender is the RnB bass, MM is the Funk bass,
and now Wick is the Other bass, according to a landslide
vote for "other" in the poll results.

Maybe start a new band called "The Others of Invention".

Anywayz, the poll also confuses that previous poll that
asked us Wick players "What other bass do you play?"

But, we could have bumper stickers that say "My Other
Bass is a Warwick".

I could have marked other but I hate it when people make themselves out to
be so unique and then you hear their music and go "that sounds like your
ripping off...". I listen and play everything thats good but I like to keep it
funky no matter what.

I play at my church but we play Rock, Ballad, Waltz, Salsa, Disco and all types of fusion rhythms such as Songo and Merengue. mne and the other bass player there (Otto07 from this forum) play Wics there. :wink:

Well, although I could have picked several catagories, I picked rock because I have always considered myself a rocker. But I have to say, I think I like Greg's answer the best. Music, that is always what I am atleast shooting for. I remember when I was a kid we thought we invented a new genre of music. First time was Kanebenol (sp??) rock, then later tried our hands at Shroom Rock. Let me tell ya, when your high, anything sounds good. When you sober up and listen to that tapes you made, you find otherwise.

I can, and do play most genres, but my main focus right now is jazz, rock and (brit) funk (i.e. Jamiroquai).

Most poeple play blues & never even realise it.Maybe coz it's the basis of almost everything.
