What exactly IS the MEC Bullet™ Piezo body sensor???

So what the heck is the Bullet exactly? I can barely find any info at all about it. What is it? How does it work? Where is it? Why does it only work with maple bodies? Does anyone have one? How much does it cost? Is it possible to get one outside the Warwick CS???
 
It is basically a small pickup mounted somewhere a basses body, away from the strings. It was designed for the user to make percussive sounds that are amplified, mainly for solo bass stuff. It works like any other piezo pickup, sensing vibrations and transferring them into sound. Maple must transmit sound best. It costs more than you would want it to cost and it is not available outside the CS.

So there's a pickup somewhere on the body away from the strings. Does it get the sounds of you tapping on the body with your hand?
 
Yes, that's the idea. It was made together with Seth Horan, to fit his way of playing bass.
 
I need one on the back of my bass, for the percusive thumping that another body part does whilst im playing......!!.................. sorry....
