What are you listening to..ATM?

I'm taking a little break from Slayer, so this. Abe Laboriel Jr. on the drums and Jerry Watts Jr. on the bass.
Monster players, despite being both juniors. :-)



 
That thing the Chili Peppers pipe just before they arrive on stage - Eric Dolphy on bass clarinet, a live recording from 1963.

He met a pointless death on tour in Germany when he went into a diabetic coma and they failed to recognise it, assuming he was just drugged up. Awful.

I am glad the Peppers honour him to millions in this way.

Love Marcus Miller's bass clarinet forays, but if I were going busking solo with a bass clarinet I would rather borrow Dolphy's skills

I like the bass tones and the bass line (particularly that of the first one) and both are different from my usual listening fare. Cool album cover too!
