Waxing Question

Waxing up my new bass, and I was wondering, do I need to wax the fretboard? It's a fretted instrument, if that makes a difference.

Hi shockwave,

No, you do not need to wax the fretboard. Your skin oil will take care of that. If you do want to treat the fretboard from time to time, from what I've been told, you use 100% pure lemon oil.

What bass do you have by the way?

I've been using linseed oil, which I hear is just as good, but with less drying out.
