Warwick Streamer Stage I 1992 Made in Germany

why is it stolen bass, serial number is standard for year 1992, you can look on other bass from this year... you can write what you vant, it is forum, but I need money=low price. I write to warwick and have answer:

You know we are the hard core here? New members always welcome! But we all know to separate Warwicks price tags from the real market. At other places you would not get such answers, this is for sure.

Sadly, you've been given incorrect information by Warwick which is supplied to you solely based upon the serial number supplied not knowledge of the details of the bass. Nobody has called you a thief but there are inconsistencies between the bass you have pictured and the serial number it carries. Oddly someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make the serial number on the headstock look very convincing.
 
I sant to Warwick photos of my bass, photo with serial number too. They havent problem with this. But OK, bass play very nice, I vant sale bass, no make conflict with other users !!!!, may be Is somebody here who vant buy my bass, may be no...
 
Technically it looks fine, only the nut doesn´t look original. Truss rod cover is there?

knowledge to answer your request properly.

in your case I would believe the official reply ofc :-)

Where did you get this bass from? History? Previous owner?

What we are trying to tell you, in case you don't understand, is the top of the neck (behind the nut) has a raised bit of wood, like a bump. Warwick did not make basses this way for many years after 1992, so this bass categorically could not have been made in that year. The serial number on the bass is incorrect, and the reason why really needs to be answered for anyone to have faith in buying it.

No-one is doubting you or who you are, as it does not appear it was you who added the fake serial number. Help us find out who did so we can get to the bottom of why!

I think Schlobodan is right,

for example,
a few weeks ago I sent pictures and serial number to Warwick, when I wanted my 96 Dolphin to be identified.
I recieved a list, in which the mention "Bronze Frets" was written, and the serial number was not the good one. (I told them O..... instead of C.... and they did not pay attention of that, and simply copy it... there's no 15 months on a year....)
for more, it was written "natural oil finish" , because pictures I sent was after my refinish. The bass was originally RedBurst lacquered.

I replied them to signal those mistakes, and they send me the same description corrected.

We can conclue that they don't have lists, but they simply match the informations we send them.


in the picture of the serial number of your Streamer, I find this typo very strange.....
Warwick used on this time some "typo hammers" that not go so deep in the wood, and it is less "messy"

and to finish ... Am I wrong if in 90's the serial number was written on the back of the head ?

this Streamer is very beautiful, and it's surely a great bass !
I think nobody here will tell that you're a thief or a liar.
But sadly there's a lot of questions around this instrument......
