I Think that it is 92" viz serial number.
Price is 1100 EURO with case and stripe.

Bass is in Czech Republic.

yes - this is a 92 serial

However, in 92 there where no volutes and basses had thicker wood stringers the body was rounder.

The back of the headstock looks like a layer was removed (where the serial should be) and thus the volute made smaller.

The one who did this might have put in the new serial.

In addtition the bass here features an alloy bridge where it should be solid brass.
Moreover, the opening for the truss rod nut was made that way only after the late nineties.

To me it looks very much like a customised Streamer Stage 1 from 2000.

the serial thingy is very odd - to say the least.

sorry

Forum software seems to be bugged. People with post count lower then 10 posts get moderated automatically when posting images or hyperlinks, this is to keep possible spam accounts from posting links to malware etc.

The moderators manually decide on allowing or removing these posts...

However, and this is the bug, sometimes these posts return to their moderated status after a mod has okayed it for some unknown reason. This means the post is then only visible for moderators and admins.

I just had to allow the original post in this thread twice before it reappeared. Strange things happening mannnnn. Is it an omen?

I can sale it for 1000EURO if will bussiness fast!!!

I do not want a Streamer that has had its original serial number erased. Sorry.

And what is this bass? Fake? Or home made? No Warwick?

Well, Rada, I would suggest you log in to Warwick's website, section support, you'll find this :
In case your instrument could not be identified by means of the serial number, e.g. because it was built before 2000, we still can help you with your enquiry. For this we need the following information:

- Model name
- Serial number

Please send us additional photos of your instrument via e-mail at [email protected] :

- front view
- back view
- photo of the opened electronics compartment
- photo of the serial number
and send them an email with the photographs you sent, the serial number, and ask for some information they may have about it. That would be step one.

I'm sorry, but I can only think of one reason to erase a serial number and put a new one on a neck thru bass. Because I don't think the extra years would make this bass more valuable, the only reason I find is to hide the real number. A stolen or found bass maybe?

what info could wick give that I have not given already?

And what is this bass? Fake? Or home made? No Warwick?

as I said this is a real stage 1 from around 2000 that has been modified.

the only suspicious rhing is the serial

maybe someone customized it like someone else's, like a copy of an early used SSI by Stuart Zender on a Jamiroquai album or something like that?

I fear it is a stolen bass with faked serial number. But we will never know.

1.000,- EUR is o.k., 800,- EUR would cover all those doubts!
