Warwick Streamer CV

Well, the real story then. I was at the Musikmesse, drunk, dancing on a table... and nothing happened. The next day I was sober and I tripped on a booth over an edge of two inches and fell on my hand. Totally stupid. I walked with a very swollen had for a day and then I contacted the Messe doctor. He taped it and said I had to make pics. It was heavily bruised or broken. he davised an X-ray back in Holland.

Now the bad thing: I had a lot of gigs that next couple of weeks and I didn't see a doctor for x-rays. You can't play with a cast. My first gig went with tears in my eyes and I made all the faces solo guitarists normally do. You know them;) It gets better every day now, but it's like two steps forward in a week and a step back with a gig. I only gig with my Danelectro Longhorn because it's got a tiny neck.

I'm worried a bit because it takes a long time. Maybe see a doctor? I know I'm stupid for doing this too late and I have the risk that it was broken and they have to break it again. I'm scared to be honest.... But it's like 80% better now!
 
BTW: How would this baby look with a tort guard?
 
I'm sorry to hear that... not about the wrist, about having to gig with a Danelectro Longhorn.

But seriously, for the love of god, GET YOUR WRIST LOOKED AT.

All others= sucks.
 
My girlfriend only plays guitar for a year now and sunday she had her second gig! Original songs. I'm quite proud:) I played bass on two songs.

If only it came as a 5 stringer, but I have a plane.
 
I didn't see a doctor after falling on my hand/wrist. Two years later while taking xrays for other purposes that doctor noticed my hand had been broken and my right hand pinkie knuckle is now ♣♣♣♣ed for the rest of my life. I never would have thought it was broken, didn't hurt that much...

Do see a doctor Chris. I'm serious.
 
Well, this is post 1.500. I always want to say something special on nice numbers. Well, there I go.

Hand/wrist was badly bruised. No break.
I will buy the CV. And I will try a tort guard.
 
I can't really tell, but I'm wondering, is the body proportioned differently with the 21 fret neck? Or does the 21st fret just line up with the regular Streamer lower horn?
 
I was wondering that myself. I looked at some pics. With normal Streamers the cutaway meets the neck at the bass string side at the 19th fret and at the treble side at the 21st fret. At the CV those points are at the 18th and 19th fret, so the neck is a bit more into the body. The bridge seems to be at the same position as a normal Streamer, so the body has to be a tiny bit longer?

Passive elecs? Nope - Corvette has them and they sound plenty WW.

Open magnetic poles instead of closed ceramic bars? I think they have a bit to do with the vintage sound, but the Jazzman has these, and it sounds plenty WW as well.

RW board? Infinity has it - as WW as it gets, tonally. Maple neck? Lots of WW-sounding instruments have WW necks. The Streamer $$ sounds plenty WW.

What else is the difference?

How about that one-piece neck? That has to be it. I think a huge ingredient to the Warwick sound is the fact that they have laminated necks.

I think sound wise it's more 50/50. It has the passive electronics and Fender-style woods, but despite the lack of laminations the neck is still very stiff. All Warwicks have a lot of reinforcement in the neck. So this bass also has the very stiff Warwick neck and because of that the tight growl.
