hi everyone
This is my first thread on this forum :) and i need your help...I did some research myself but really didnt find the answer.
I have a chance to buy a custom made Warwick Streamer neck through (Stage maybe) and i dont know if it is genuine. I attached some photos, and hope you can see them...
My concerns are...the first Warwicks had the option of Alembic pickups and this one has them and the screws look a bit odd, the bridge looks like a Shaller Warwick bridge, the headstock looks ok, but the truss rod cover seems to be a bit tilted on one side, and maybe the strangest thing, it has three pots!? I have never seen a Streamer with three pots...except the pro M series :)

Hi. Im no streamer expert, but to me it looks like a true vintage. It has the old bridge and the rest looks genuine. Maybe one of the streamer guys can fill in the gaps for you.
 
Screws look like counter-sink wood screws rather than what I would have expected to see there. I can't believe those are correct. :/

I think the headstock it's a little different, there's something strange about it...
 
To me it looks very strange!! For example the shape of the headstock... count and positioning of the volume and tone knobs.. screws etc. Hardware is ok but the other stuff??
 
something does not look right there... Can you post pictures with the back of the bass?

I´m confused. The whole body and neck seem to be original, but not the headstock. Maybe it´s a replacement because of a broken neck?
 
it is a neck through body, not a bolt on, so i guess replacing the neck would be a crazy idea, better make a new bas :) i dont know, just thinking logically
 
The electronics and battery lids don't really look like original either, could you take closer pics?
 
I am sorry, i cant take closer pics, since it is not i who is making them, i am 300km far from the bass, so the actual owner is taking them, i suppose with a bad camera...anyway i suppose there are to many questions and odd things on this bass so i suppose it is a copy...
 
Nut is weird too. The "joint" between the head and the upper headstock is like a V. Didn see that before either. Also the wenge is little grainy, maybe the bass was thoroughly sanded and some of the headstock shape disappeared in this process.
 
At least the string windings can be reversed pretty easily.... :P

there was a time when custom warwicks did not have a serial number
