Warwick Streame F-hole on the bay

looks like a nice enough bass, but im not fan of f holes.
 
This is a corvette, the prototype for infinity. If it was professionally fixed, you should be happy, because you can get it cheaper, and it is solid like a rock, it will not crack again. And that place has no influence in sound....

Thanks for the heads up. I'm looking for one. Real bummer that this one is cracked. Anyone know of a good one here in the States?
 
It says professionally repaired, but I'd think a decent luthier should be able to make the damage less apparent. Add to that all items sold as is. Starting bid of a G note. I'd be cautious.
 
I hear ya. I'm gonna pass on this one. Maybe he'll relist it later at a more realistic price. I preffer to buy insruments in pristine condition anyway. I'm hoping a decent one will come along soon. I bought that Streamette a month ago and cant put it down so the 91 LTD is definetly on the must get list now.
 
If you want one in a very good condition you better prepare to pay a lot more. Warwickhunt sold (or atleast got an offer) his all original one for 1500 pounds, which is well over 2000$.
 
I'm well aware what they are worth. Considering the questionable repair job I would say the ebay bass isnt worth a whole lot. Not to me anyway.

As for Warwickhunts basses,the reason I'm looking only in the US is the exchange rate. I would glady have given 1500 GBP and taken them both not too long ago but the current exchange rate puts them at over $3000 US each.
