gday guys
im thinking of buying a warwick rig consisting of a pro fet 3.2 and a WCA PRO 410.
my question is will this rig produce 300 watts?
i think that the 3.2 might be at 4ohms and the cab at 8ohms which would result in about 180 watts wouldnt it? this may not be loud enough for me.
however i have heard that you can get the cab in a 4ohms version. would this be more expensive.
also does the 3.2 head have an 8ohms input or something?
i just think im gonna need the 300 watts and this is the only rig in my price range that im happy with.
i have been looking for used warwick gear but have not found any.
so if you guys have any answers for those questions it would be great thanks
daniel

p.s. im from melbourne so do any of you melbourne guys know of any warwick retailers besides the bass centre? (this is where i will be getting the rig from.)

Hello danny,

The output of the amplifier will have an impedance of 4ohms. If you are going to use a single cabinet, the best thing to do is buy the 4ohm version of that particular cabinet. The prices will vary from one country to another. Matching the impedance of the amp and the cabinet is very important to be able to get the full range out of your amplifier.

A list of distributors per country can be found at:

www.warwick.de -> Warwick -> Distribution

After you find the distributor in your country you can call them to find out if there's any dealers close to you or if you can obtain the cabinet from them directly.

danny,the aussie distributor is in melbourne so your close. They really go out of their way to help you out.
cheers.
