I really didn`t get this pricejump on Corvette STD`s? They move it to Korea and boost the prices? Or is it just the reamining german-mades that suddenly costs more than a Streamer?

Your currency is just worth less then before. Being a UK resident is just not helping these days.
Ever since Gordon B. has been involved, the British pound has been going downhill. Naturally prices for stuff that is made using euros is gonna cost a lot in pounds.
The same goes for American dollars.
Street prices on the european mainland are still reasonable afaik.
I'm buying a new wick next week.

Sorry Saxonbass - I do all of the Basscentre's prices and put them all up today!!
Agree with Florin though, apart from the Corvettes the rest of the range hasn't gone up that much.
There are probably still good deals to be had as some dealers won't have had the time to put prices up. I've had that price list for a couple of weeks and only had time to update them today.
Stores are advised to sell existing stock at a reduced price as they won't be 2010 specs. So I think the bargains are going to be instore.

If you take list price that seriously,you're a sucker.Sorry to be so blunt,but that goes for everything.If you dont haggle & shop around,you're destined to get ripped off,no matter what you're buying.

Oh I quite agree! I get a great discount from by dealer every time. But even with 20% (or more!) off the list price there has been a substantial price increase in the last 3 years.
If that's due to currency fluctuations, there's not a lot anyone can do about it I suppose. But it seems that Warwick more and more are wanting to be seen as the Elite brand, not simply one of the best regarded manufacturers. They advertise more heavily in the UK than any other brand (based on ads in Bass GUitar Magazine) and yet and becoming more and more out of reach. I'm surprised that in these times the strategy is working.
I'll have a look at the second hand market. I wouldn't mind a new 4 string slap monster. My Fortress MM just doesn't cut the mustard sound-wise any more.
