I can not find warwick bees wax anywhere in the us for purchase. all stores say permenatly out of stock. Whats up with that. Where can i get my wax? My new thumb I got from guitar center didn't come with any and have been using my corvette wax and am almost out. And my medium 5 string black labels, which I love are out of stock everywhere too. Did warwick go on vacation or something?:((
 
To start with, I'd get right on back down to Guitar Centre, and get the wax they owe you. I've never set foot inside a GC store (I'm in Australia), but I hear they're notorious for losing things that come in the Warwick kit.

Guitar center is the pits when it comes to having the correct stuff thar comes with the bass.Wrong paper work missing tool kit etc.But you can get good deals if your lucky.
 
I really dislike the Guitar Centers in the Twin city area in Minnesota near where I live. While visiting friends in Wisconsin I swung by the Guitar Center there and met a musician who works there and he hooked me up with a new 05' Thumb 5NT for $1990. He also hooked me up with no money down intrest free financing for 12 months. I ordered it.(it was in a GC in California). Later I thought something had to be wrong, it was too good to be true. But a week later it arrived. Played perfectly. It did have a faulty input jack which I replaced and was missing the string pack and wax but at that price I wasn't sending it back. I only wish I could get the stuff missing and strings at a regular basis. I know Warwick has switched their distrubutor in the U.S. but wow, is this new distributor dropping the ball or what? I can't get anything anywhere over here.

Thanks Greg. Rocket Music had my strings and I just ordered up a couple of black label medium 5s. No luck in the Warwick Bees Wax department though:(

Your best bet is to give the guy Florin mentioned a call. Hanser Music Group is the new U.S. distributor. Please let us know how it goes!

It's odd that most places I checked show the wax as discontinued or out of stock. Hopefully the following link will pan out for you.

I called mark at the distrubutor and he had no answer why they were out of stock. He did have some in stock and charged me $50 for 2 cans plus $8 shipping. I thought it was kind of high but did want to chance running out so I ordered them direct. Now I just found them at 1st gear music for 15 bucks a can. I'm a little P.Oed for be overcharged 28 bucks! Nice Company warwick picked for a distributor of their fine products. They drag their feet getting the product out so the can overcharge the consumer directly. Warwick should reconsider who is representing them here in the states. :evil:
 
Yeah, that stings a bit, but at least you have 2 cans of wax coming. That should last you a really long time. I can only offer that for me, my Warwicks would still be worth the extra money if that's the only source of wax I could find.

Hanser charged you the reccomended retail price.A dealer discounting on that price is no real reason to reconsider who represents them.You werent overcharged.
The change in distributor temorarily interupted supply to some dealers,that's inevitable.But it also meant that alot of dealers were selling gear for very low prices.Timing can make all the difference when buying.
It's natural to feel pissed off coz you missed a bargain,but you cant hold anyone but yourself responsible.
The moral of this story is,shop around.;)
 
I did end up getting the bargain afterall. I had nothing to go on as for retail price so I assume the price the distributor charged was high considering the price I finally found (member recommendation)for the surface finisher(after an extensive and defeating on line search). I didn't mean to offend anyone.
Still the transition between distributors must a little scary for warwick. Many of the stores that carry warwick basses are out of stock of all warwick gear including basses. A great online bass store theperfectbass.com for example. Being out of the market for such an extended period of time must be not only frustrating for the loyal customers but also the company itself. They must be aware of the issue, no?
 
Just found out theperfectbass.com are no longer carrying warwick bass or accessories. No reason givin why but was referred back to the warwick web site.:confused:
 
Got some wax from 1stgearmusic.com and I highly reccomend this site. Customer Service 10+. You can't go wrong with this site. :-)

I just ordered 2 cans from them my self they even refunded some of the shipping cost! Awsome people to deal with.
