I have a Dolphin Pro 2 which I have had from new, I have never had a problem with it until now. I find as I am playing the G and D string go out of tune. I've tried different makes of string, different guages and tightened the machine heads until they will hardly move. Can any one enlighten me?

The bridge/nut night need an adjustment, possibly a tuning head or two may need a service/replacement?

i noticed old strings go out of tune all the time... how old are those things?

Are the strings binding at the base of the tuner shaft? This can happen when you have too many turns around the shaft. The binding can push upwards on the entire stack of windings and the end of the string can lose its footing, slip, and go out of tune (flat).

Does this fit the picture?

If so, trim your strings a little shorter.

Iv'e tried many sorts of string, Just this week a new set of Ernie Ball, still the same. Iv'e also tried few windings and more windings on tuning shaft. The only thing I can now think of is a new set of machine heads. Is this the only way?
