Hi,
I have a Corvette Standard six string, and I'm having a problem with it - the 23rd fret high B note on the C string is constantly out of tune. It's the only note I notice a problem with; when you play it over the open G string below it sounds really sour, when it should should very consonant. I've had it intonated, and that made no difference. Any advice? It's not the biggest problem in the world, I'm just curious.

If everything else is in tune I doubt that
one note is out of tune. It's prolly just a
harmonic disonance. Alter the harmonic
nature of the C-string:

Twist it [wind it tighter].

Replace it [new string].

Add a tubular extension [move the ball back].

Add something to the string between the
the bridge and stop tail [lead "split shot"
fishing line sinker, cable clamp, etc].

Add something to the string between the
the nut and tuner peg.

Of course all this is a crapshoot. Altering
its harmonic nature could fix it, or bring
on more sour intervals !
