TubePath 5.1 for metal?

All i can say is.... You can never have too much power for bass!

I would say if you can afford the 10.1 i would seriously think about buying it.

or corz it all depends on how loud the rest of the band are on stage... if your playing big stages they will probably have a good monitoring setup.
 
My 10.1 comes with a master volume which allows me to play quietly, and stupidly loud, all at the twist of a dial.
 
The 5.1 has more than enough power.My mate Rusty has been playing one in both his bands,they're pretty popular bands & usually play in larger venues & he's never been short of power.
If you're doubtful,ask your dealer if you can gig a 5.1 to see if it's suited to your needs.If you feel 1000 watts would suit you better after the gig?Swap it over.
 
+1. ive done full size festival stages with an x-treme 5.1. they are loud enough
 
I used the 10.1, but to be honest at 12 o clock it was WAYYY too loud, even for stadiums. The 5.1 should be just enough. Buy two cabinets, to have a 2X10 or 4X 10 for example for clubs, and add a 4X 10 or a 1 X 15 for larger venues.

I use my 10.1 and two 411ND cabs everywere I play ahahaha
from some big stages to small clubs but I'm known for beeing crazy ahaha
 
Well one thing I've learn in time is not to be too loud on the stage. On big stage you'll avoid microphonic and stuff. On small clubs, if you are loud on the stage the sound guy will turn your channel down. No matter how good your bass amp is, it will not sound as good, present, and "over all" like in the mix in the PA system.
 
also the louder the backline is, the worse the vocal mic signals are and other stage mics
