Trying to make a comeback....

Hope you get better Adam. I too googled the condition and I read something like it's a young adults' disease and many times gets better with age. I can't throw a prayer since I'm not a religious person in the way you are but I hope you all the luck. Enjoy watching your kid growing and play the bass meanwhile ;)

Update.

2 days after Christmas I am doubled over in pain, long story short, I am back in the hospital and got my appendix out. I havent had ab pain since, but its now coming up to the time frame of where I would get it again, its been going on for years. So lets hope and pray that stays away.

In the meantime I have not had any Crohn's related issues, and all tests show I am clear and free of any sign of the disease. The DR's all seem to think I was misdiagnosed and have pulled me off the meds. I am doing much better stomach/GI wise and am really considering that the whole thing was a giant mistake. My diagnosis for this now is severe IBS.

After being admitted, I got in contact with a joint doctor, and he diagnosed me with fibromyalgia. I have no inflammation in the joints, am flexible, and have no issues bending, strecthing, etc. The medication for this is again harsh and the first one I tried was intolerable. Headaches, fogginess, extreme nausea, etc. I stopped it after a week, and have not been on anything since, this was about mid January.

After hearing many advice from friends, church family, and my Bible/church messages, I have decided to not go on any medication for a while. Along with this I am eating better, no impure habits, exercising as much as I can, reading my Bible and praying everyday, and seeking counseling for the negative aspect of my mind. I made a commitment for 6 months to see if it will help. I trust God will provide me relief if I choose to take care of my body and trust Him in all things.

As mentioned, doctors are there to treat your symptoms, but not cure the problem at its core. Long story short, I have experience of knowing there isnt much available to really be truly helpful in a lot of various conditions. Shoot, I had the flu, and the Tamiflu they prescribed me made me sicker than the flu, google it, its awful.

Anyway, thank you all for your continued prayers and thought sent my way. My bass playing has generally been on hold since it causes me extreme pain to play for any substantial amount of time. I am playing at church this week and s far it is brutal on my body, but I only recently started my new diet, etc, and I am feeling a little better each day, I hope it stays this course.
