To sell or not to sell!!

Ok, ok, ok you've talked me out of it!!! :D
Some great comments there and definately plenty to think about.

The problem with being happy with your sound is that you become oblivious to anything that's new and it's only the curiosity of that extra string that's making me think that I need to get into the 21st century. (Six strings frightens the life out of me!!)

My thinking now is that maybe I buy a 5 string as a second bass. The Corvette seems like a good option but not sure about the Rockbass, don't know anything about them.

As a side issue, does anyone know of anywhere in the UK where I can get a replacement battery cover for my Streamer?

I scoured the net for uk sites but the only replacement cover I could find was the above. Had to bite the bullet and pay shipping fees for it too :( But try your local dealer, they might be able to stock them for you

As for the Corvette NT 5 string (if you are just looking to experiment with the extra string) go for it. If you don't like it, you won't have lost as much money as if you had just bought the Thumb NT or SS2. And the Vette (Bubinga) NT is an awesome bass for the money, which will give you a huge range of tones to experiment with
 
Thanks, but my covers different to the one on the link you've sent - it's the squarer rectangle type, couldn't see mine on the website.

Ahh right... no idea then. Best bet is to ask your local dealer. If the new ones are hard to get in the uk, the old ones will be murder
