THUMB B.O. Rules...

I have- lots- of bass guitars- including (2) Warwicks a Thumb & $$, both bolt-on.
Because I have so many instruments, they (the Warwicks) don't always get the rotation they deserve.
Today-this afternoon
THUMB B.O.

Awesome; it rules. Sounds INCREDIBLY good.
That's all.
Just felt like posting that.

I try one maybe 2 months ago....more punch than NT, very good for slapping!! I want to buy one but the price was raised, it is 2005 new (old stock)....so I bought a Thumb 6 NT used!!!

I was soooooo close to buying one. Only thing I didn't like (at all) was its slap-tone - but for fingerstyle stuff I'd prefer it over most other basses.

We sure all have different approaches & attacks, etc.
For me the slap tone of the THUMB BO has such- PRESENCE- it brings me to tears...

No wonder this model is an ICON! It REALLY sounded good; no- better- GREAT!
Wonder how the new models with Bubinga bodies will compare?

My Thumb NT 5 is my first Warwick, it's slap-tone isn't what I expect..until I got it, but the fingerstyle maybe is the best of the world, few months ago, I found that the Thumb 4 BO has killing slapping tone!!! way better than 5 and 6 string, neckthru and BO, the BO is ugly but really slap face!!

I don't what should I buy first, Thumb BO 4 or Dolphin Pro 1...

The THUMB BO sounded awesome!:twisted:

Robert Cray, etc.)

This Bass is so RIGHT for the Groove....
 
Thumb BO is like ... a very good school for making a bass sound. It sounds exactly like a bass should sound, with no EQ tweaking. Awsome instrument indeed!

This is true...
VERY little tweaking; maybe a slight increase in Bass/Treble to get the right amount to cut through the mix in a particular room for instance.

Other than that- Good right out of the box!8:

Actually, I've owned 3 Thumbs, but I didn't keep any of them very long - they just weren't my taste at the time. But the switch to a bubinga-body for the BO has me tempted though, very tempted...

Seriously, you have big, fat and versatile($$), big, articulate and versatile. I think a Thumb would represent the other end of the spectrum well.

I definitely agree that the $$'s represent big/fat and versatile - and I assume you mean the Streamer LX is articulate and versatile? (I would agree by the way)

Just for the record, I'm considering making a bid for a Thumb BO right this minute...
