Thumb 6 Questions

Help!!!
I'm looking to buy a thumb 6 and finally found one. The only problem is there is a crack down the middle of the body along with other damage. I can overlook some of the dings, but that crack concerns me. It runs right down the middle of th body on the back side and then it looks like it continues to the front behind the tail piece. Any suggestions?

But AFAICT, thumbs are usually made of 2 pieces (sometimes 3) body, maybe it's not a crack and simply the wood that is shrinking...
 
is that a major concern? I really want this bass, but it is overpriced and damaged. Do I risk it?
 
What looks like a crack is more than likely where the body is joined down the centre.It's normal to be visible.If it's over priced,give it a miss.These basses are going cheap.

I don't think this is a major concern.. Now it depends now, hob big is it. Could you post some pictures?
 
Thank you for the feedback. I will try to send some pics. Where do people see Thumb Broadnecks going cheap? I would love to talk to them!:lol:
