Thumb 5 BO Track

I got a chance to slap the Thumb 5 on a track for some friends of mine this past week. It's a Christian song, so I just wanted to let everyone know before hand. The vocals are scratch vocals and the drums are BFD via Pro Tools HD because we hadn't had a chance to put any real drums to it just yet. About the only thing that isn't scratch is the bass track. Anyhow, there was tons of equipment that we used, but I believe I was plugged into an Avalon DI-Preamp that sounded amazing. The bass playing isn't anything to write home about, it's a pretty simple song, but I wanted to concentrate on the low-end for this song. I think the tone is absolutely amazing. You guys can judge for yourself, but keep it constructive, please. :) This song is an inspirational song, if that helps.

The bass sounds great :)

I don't think the slap bass fit in very well near the end... I think it's just those higher pops. Everything else sounds great though :)

I agree, probably too much for that part of the song. It was the first thing that came to mind when I was there, so I went with it. Thanks for the comments!

like it. like it a lot especially because these are the types of songs I play most of the time. also more upbeat caribbean christian songs too so gret work.

the drums sound good to.

I liked the poping at the end but was hard to hear the slap. overall this is pretty good.

where are you at?

this is an amazing studio shown at the pic.
 
YES YES YES! That is the thumb sound, thick like John Holmes! Great sound!
 
Thanks for all your comments guys! I live in Germany (American), but that is at a studio in Florida. I went to the states to do some work for a couple of weeks and managed to get some studio time in while I was there. We did a lot more, but that is the only thing that I can show you guys right now. :(
