What do you think should be the LTD model for 2007? So far, there have only been Corvettes and Thumbs. Time for something else this time? And they usually have some special wood . What do you want to see?

For me, it would have to be a Streamer Jazzman with a Buckeye Burl top. They won't do Buckeye for a custom shop, but maybe they'd get a batch of wood for the LTD run. It would sell like hot cakes!

there have been some rumors around here for a possible nobby ltd edition for 2007, at least, a lot of people would like to have it :D

about buckeye burl..killer looks for sure, but what about the tone? does anybody know?

Do any of you remember the topic I posted on exsquisit woods? Ollie sayd that Warwick might concider offering such woods as buckeye burl in the custom shop as of 2007. Although I think a streamer with a top like that would be too much of a rip off of a Spector US Neck-Through bass. It would be cool to see though.

IMO they should do a Streamer LTD too. Hopefully a Stage I with an AAA flamed maple neck with a purpleheart top. I love purpleheart. Might be too expensive though.

I'd love to hear some more ideas.

I am going to repeat myself till the day I die - the 2007 LTD must be a Nobby!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I was in contact with the distributor half a year ago and reserved one. I would actually like to pick it up from the factory on the open factory day in september next year

I'll see you there! I might have my custom shop bass finished by then.

i might even have the money for the next LTD by september '07, so i could as well buy one at the factory :D

If we go together we might have a discount

- Streamer Stage I or Streamer LX with zebrawood body
- Gold hardware
- 3-band EQ preamp
- Fish-eye inlays

That would be soooooooooooooooooooo sweet! :D

im praying for the 2007 ltd to be a streamer, and i would love it to have some sort of burl top on it, as thats my favourite finish going! :D

i will be purchasing one of the basses being made! im saving already!

There has been a lot of fuzz around here about what should be the LTD 2007 bass considering this is Warwick's 25th Anniversary. I have been talking to Hans Peter Wilfer about it for some time now trying to take into consideration the most common requests in the forum by the time this is decided. Right now, we have not come a to a decision yet, but as soon as it is done, it will be posted in the forum and you will be the first people to know.

And if you ever need a second opinion that would please everybody (especially me), just ask and I will take the decision for you

The Nobby makes some sense, in that it was one of Warwick's first basses, but it's not a typical Warwick look, and not that mainstream.

The Thumb is probably the best known model, but we have had 3 LTD Thumbs already. It must certainly be a tough choice.

Maybe we should make some polls to canvas opinion. One for most desired model (Nobby, Streamer etc) and another for wood, although the options are too many to put into a single poll.

Keep adding your thoughts here guys, your contribution could influence the 25th Anniversary LTD Edition!

Well, this is probably at least the 3rd time this subject is up incl polls etc so I don´t expect there to be anything more to add. In the end it will be a management decision, with me as the chair

I would love a headless bass, and it being a Nobby. I`be been looking at Steinbergers for so long now...

Please make them cost less than 3000$.... :?

Yes, and the Nobby is not just one of the first Warwick basses, it's THE first bass (correct?)

I also vote Nobby, nut if not a neckthru vette! ...

if you ain't going to resurrect the nobby, i'd like an all ovangkol vette $$ with barts and ebony fingerboard with bass clef inlays :D
