Weird title, uh?
Don´t worry, the goal is to share, always from an easy -good sense of humour- way, facts that could help forumers from other countries understand why every single one of us is, well, that different... :)

I´m from Caracas, Venezuela, and although I don´t like the term "latino" this video could help you understand why people from SouthAmerica are like we are. :D

If people don't get you, then who cares? They probably aren't interesting to talk to anyway...

it´s supposed to be a fun thread, Hector. I´m not complaining about anything, only sharing some laughs, or trying to.
 
In theory what Hector said is true. We are however all humans and need to be liked/loved by others to be able to fully evolve into what we really are and feel good about it.

I am an intelligent nerd who doesn't look like one, My brain overthinks stuff a lot, it makes me tired.
I do not ever do things to impress others. I only do what I do because I enjoy it or because others enjoy it.
I can program php, C++, and assembly language on several platforms, I am a pretty decent bassist and singer.
Many people here share my interest in bass guitars and many know that I can be a grumpy old git now and then.
I like to be upfront, dead honest and sometimes too direct about matters that is sensitive to others. I can be a loudmouth.
I am not always right about stuff and I while know this I am usually having a hard time to accept it.

I am human.

There is mutual respect all across this forum for one another which allows this and many of you I consider my friends.
The forum is the one place where nobody cares about political views, race or religion other people have. We are here to talk about the things we have in common.

This makes the forum 10.000x better then any other social media out there and I love you people for it.

I am a Greek god with a superior intellect, legend-worthy bass playing ability, a fully optimized sense of humor that self-adjusts for venue, and am all around incredible.
Except for that I'm poured into a very average body with average physical and musical facilities and the standard set of shortcomings. And my jokes tend not to come out that great.
 
I have a strong belief that the guitarists are as good as we allow them to be. :-)
About the age of 14 I've noticed that I get some extra attention from girls if I wear a gigbag with something guitarish inside. A neighbour had a bass, I traded my bike for it, and this is how all started. I had absolutely no intention to learn to play that thing, but I was doing great air-bass while listening to my favourite records :-) In the meanwhile I learned to put my fingers on the (sometimes) right frets, but I am still having the same fun on stage as I had during air bass. This is the reason bandmates complain a lot of my mistakes :-)
 
I'm kinda like a Fruit Yoghourt, I'm french with bits of German and Scottish inside. That alone should be funny enough.
I have a weird, omnipresent sense of humour and a self esteem deficit that I try to compensate by making people love me. I'm very, stupidly shy, so I hide that behind a very loud mouth.
And also, my wife emptied the Rhum bottle and replaced it with water, so I might have a drinking problem, but it's been taken care of. :-)
 
It seems the scapegoat for the Bassists is always the Guitarist ?
