The Heads Up Thread

Its worse then that. They want you to pay in advance and it is collect only so the deal will go like this:
1. You trust them blindly and pay too much. 2. You drive down there for hours and hours. 3. You get your bass at the door and are kindly asked to f*ck off. 4. It turns out a new SS2 would have been cheaper better and have 3 years of Thomann guarantee. 6. You get the frets and trussrod replaced because the bass has been abused for years 7 you end up selling it for 2000 euro as that is what it is worth in good condition. D you no longer care about tone. 9 You now get panic attacks whenever someone mentions the word "ebay". 10 your life is ruined and you become a spandex wearing guitarplayer who only plays Status Quo songs while wearing a perm.

Click the seller on ebay and see what other interesting stuff they have like this:

and

und...

and finally:

There is only one conclusion considering this "latinomama" person... he/she is a NUTTER.

I´ll take the socks!!! They are new! Or the disc-drives? They are vintage!

Don´t be that aggressive. The only mistake is that you missed a perfect chance: this bass was down to 5.200,- EUR two weeks ago! And you weren´t there to take the chance!!! Your fault at all!!!

Geben Sie mindestens EUR 5.800,00 ein ..........eh?

That was a weird question and answer at the botom of the ebday add. Did anyone read that? My German is terrible but to me the seller basicly told the guy to ###k off about the pricing. Am i right??

There is no such thing as higher end. A steamer LX is as good as a Streamer STage 2

Comon, id love to believe that because i have and love my LX but SS2 are wayyyy better. I know you work for warwick so i shouldnt question you :P but the woods, the 7 peice neck! the purple heart (in some cases) id be all over the SS2 for that kind of money. Anyway, i guess Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - thats why some people love fenders (yuck) lol
Well, I almost failed the audition at Cargo with my white CS SSII that was about 8500 EUR at that time, and probably half of million in today's currency :-)
What saved me was a stock 2009 Streamer LX, that in that context was a much better bass...
The woods, the 7 piece neck, etc, those are mostly visual upgrades, same as Chrome Tone finish :-) A streamer LX uses equally good tone wood.
So yes, If we are talking about sound, not looks, they are equally good to me, if we are talking about looks - dat Chrome Tone is not bad either :-)

Sorry i didnt catch anything you said after white custom shop SS2 as i melted into my chair.

haha all good Flo

You are perfectly right. That's what the seller said.

He thanked him for continously following his auction. (The question was why he is putting the price up and up) He said pricing was his business:-)

the best thing is part of the auction text imo:-)))

Sounds to me like its a pawn shop or somthing if he is selling random ♣♣♣♣ like disk drives. So I wouldn't expect them no to know anything about basses etc

That includes a sensible pricetag. Shame since it looks like a nice Stage2 they got.

Pawn shops need to know the price of everything to stay in business. When they buy things, they need to tell the seller that they've seen a million of them before and they always pay $xxxx.
