That chrome LX has been living for so long in Burgos (Spain), that she´s not german anymore, she´s already spaniard, she even knows how to cook "tapas". :D
 
2500EURO!!! jeeessus, fudge that. If i had that kind of cash id get me a P-nut 3 or SS2 (with cash left over)

very hard to pay for too!
its a lot to fork out for cosmetics IMHO, soundwise its just an LX, which can be bought for a much less than that.

what do you mean with just an LX :-)
 
I'd rather buy buy warwickhunts streamer for 750e and take it to my guitar man to refinish in silver paint for a few hundred. And still pay 1/4 the price. I've seen p-nut 3s in US for around the 2500us mark. Oh well enough bagging I guess haha

You KNOW i dig LXs! (I do have two BO streamers for a reason)
But when you are talkin 2k euro thats used dolphin and SSII country, so yeah Just an LX!

That would be blasphemy! :eek: The finish is best as it is. And please don´t compare any silver paint with a chrome finish. Maybe the price is still a bit high, but show me any other CT around!
 
No no i would never do that, im just saying i "would" do that if i had to make a choice.

there is a used thumb bolt on 4 at a guitar store (name withheld) i went to in sydney and they have it there for $4,500 AUS. i almost spewed all over the floor. And they are trying to tell me about how "high" end this bass is to justify the price. I was like, have you ever seen a SS1 or 2? Thats high end. Its guitar stores. they inflate. And the guy who runs the place has a massive ego.
 
There is no such thing as higher end. A steamer LX is as good as a Streamer STage 2, just with a different voicing. Guys who like LX sound are happy, they are mor affordable because of BO construction, that's all...
But THAT finish do makes it "higher end" if you like that kind of bling on stage. I know I do :-)

Comon, id love to believe that because i have and love my LX but SS2 are wayyyy better. I know you work for warwick so i shouldnt question you :P but the woods, the 7 peice neck! the purple heart (in some cases) id be all over the SS2 for that kind of money. Anyway, i guess Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - thats why some people love fenders (yuck) lol

You know, I already own a SS2 CS. And a SS1 CS too. What I do not own is a LX CS, you see? ;)
For a rare CS I´m ready to pay up to 2k€, for the SS1 buckeye burl and the Infinity NT5 CS I paid still a little bit more. The "cheapest" CT I have ever seen offered cost 1.900,- EUR. The only thing is that this CT is located in Spain. The CT basses which I have seen before all had some serious wear (like the one for 1.9k€). This I would strongly dislike. Also for such a price the overall condition has to be nearly 100 percent.

Nice Dolphin Pro1, fairly priced... (2500USD, seems like new...)

And *of course* it's located at the other end of the other end of the ocean...
