Don't worry, it's just a scam. ;)

This ad pops up from time to time, the pics and the text are stolen from an ebay-auction from 1-2 years ago. The location changes every time and when you ask about the bass you get the answer (in very broken german) that it is suddenly located somewhere in the UK or so and shipping is the only option.....oh, and also that the bass is new with full guarantee (don't tell them that it's from around 1990) and the seller will pay shipping etc. :lol:

Yep. If it sounds too good to be true it usually is.
 
Same thing now. It's a trap. But on the other hand I got my NT5 for 850,- EUR and that deal was real. I bought it from a musician who retired. Too bad I caused the typical crack in the neck because of a non functional truss rod. After repairing the damage and installing a new truss rod I paid 1k€ over all.

The musician wanted to sell the bass into "good hands". It was a strange situation when I was at his home to pick up the Thumb. He told me that all his band members had major health problems and had to give up their music playing. He had his whole house cleaned up, all his belongings where packed into boxes and he was ready to move into a retirement home. I discussed with him and could persuade him to think about buying a 4-string bass with less weight than the Thumb NT5 and to keep playing a bass.

My Streamer bolt on was sold from a retiring musician too. The Infinity 4-string was sold by the widow of a bass player. The guitarist of the band brought me the gear, he was bound to an oxygen bottle... The Stryker and the SS1 were sold by musicians who needed new cars... Am I a bone collector? Sometimes sad stories are associated with the basses which are offered to us. Even worse if somebody just wants to betray us.
 
I bought my Dolphin from an idiot in Hamburg. There were moist leafs and dirt inside the flightcase (which wasn't taped shut or anything, just a tag with my address was attached to it. There was fungus growing from the fingerboard and all the brass was green from oxidizing. Top end of the trussrod was rusty and broken, bridge had collapsed, two tuners broke as I attached strings to them. I had payed 1245 euros for this broken bass. The rest is history now it is like a brand spanking new Dolphin which I am the proud owner of.

So this is the Fortress I was going to purchase a few weeks back but he sold it before I was able to take a look at it. So whoever bought it is trying to flip it for a profit it seems unless something is wrong with it.

I was thinking the same thing when I first saw it and the price. Surprised you didnt buy the flight case with it.
 
Not cheep.....BUT from a reputable shop and in Australia.
If I had cash I wouldn't be sharing this with you lot, juts posting a NBD...but cash I have not so here tis.
