I DID However pickup a '99 Fortress Flashback 5-er...

Congrats Maddanthony!. The best thing about that beauty (and a what beauty it is!) selling for $1700+ USD, is that I feel much better now about what I paid for my 4 string Flasback. I thought I overpaid at $1100 + USD. I guess I was wrong. The 5er you bought on ebay is still for sale on Reverb. I would assume it will be taken down shortly. That Dolphin was for sale on Reverb not long ago. Odd the buyer would put all that money and effort into making it right and then dump it. Humans are so weird.

Not sure if this was posted yet. One of Jack's personal Thumbs. Fun to check out again, in any event. Been up on Reverb for a few months...and the seller is obviously looking for that one wealthy Cream/Bruce fan

It is interesting that it's a 5'er. I don't think I've ever seen Jack playing a Thumb 5'er, though no doubt he did sometimes. Guy says Jack played a bunch of gigs with it. Curious if that was really the case. Beauty in any event.

I contacted him, he lives 1 hour away from me. I was thinking about it but he said he had never used the truss rod, I won't buy a bass unless the seller can tell me the truss rod works like butter....I've even had new basses come already maxed out.
