The Heads Up Thread

Someone was looking for a SC Thumb?

Wow.... that was quick. This is the SC that Wick endorser Alex "thumbface84" just received a month ago.

Guess he didn't like it. Or maybe too heavy.

Ahhh the good old endorser model.
Aka "HAHA I'm going to check every option I wouldn't normally be able to afford. BECAUSE I CAN"

(probably not how it went but dont quote me on that)

Is it me, or every endorser sells its CS bass very quickly these days?

It does seem like it's a trend recently. If there are no rules that the endorsers have to keep em' for any certain length of time, fine, but man....all that work on it just to be dumped off at a Guitar Center a few weeks later.... makes me a little sad :|

Of course no offense Alex.... not saying you did anything wrong :)

On the bright side for the next owner.... under 5k for a brand spankin' new '16 CS SC that would normally cost...what, 7-8k easy? Not a bad deal for someone.

I gotta find me an endorser to make my CS and buy it back from him/her. :-)

They don't get free CS basses right? A second hand CS would still be better value than a endorsers discount on a new CS? Or does guitar centre "buy" them off you or somthing and give you (pretty much) your money back? This bloke did the same with his brand new stage 2 6 string too, which would normally be like 10k of bass. Not making sense to me

Its a 2015 custom shop, but i did not order it with my endorsement.I bought it at a "used' discount from Japan, and have a good working relationship with the GC manager in my area.

I am a picky bastard though...

There are rules for higher level endorsers, but at my level for instance, its just frowned upon to turn over custom orders quickly. I did not order this one custom with my endorsement, just got lucky on a slightly used one from Japan.

That one from Japan also had a price of about 10k if I remember. It was the highest priced Warwick on eBay. Looks like you lost 5k? Still not getting it..

Yeah, this SC was indeed for sale from Japan for 9k.

I do want to officially apologize to Alex for assuming it was an Endorser order. Sorry bro.

I am curious though Alex...how much did you pay for it from Japan? Seeing how it's now selling for 4.7k at a Guitar Center in North Carolina. What was the Voodoo magic that caused such a huge price drop?

And can I contact you to handle my Warwick deals?? lol :P
