The Heads Up Thread

Price of a car. Dammit.
I soooo like the Singlecut thumb...

That melting looking dolphin copy's volute looks ridiculous. But it does look fairly well made, credit given.

but I wouldn't ever buy something with specs listed as "hard wood" haha.

He lives very close to my work so i asked him a few questions. He straight out said that he doesn't know anything about the bass's specs and brought it from a friend and suggested i just come and check it out. Very nice and polite guy.

But that volute is not sitting right, It seems to be low around the 2nd or 3rd.

OK, so my wife refused to buy me a present for January, so I extend my finding to you :

Warwick Streamer Pro-M 5, 1000€
photo 1.jpg
Curious thing is that the seller is telling me it is a three band preamp, and I see standard Vol Bal and stacked treble bass. Which is weird as I was expecting two bass/treble like the Masterman.
Weird.

My Pro-M had this config aswell, the later ones didn't have the double EQ config if I remember correctly.
Would prefer the double EQ one, makes it MUCH more versatile.

The later one indeed had two stacked treb+bass pots.
I had a pro-m 5 exactly like this one, bought for 700 euro.

Asking price for the one in la france is pretty steep and this pro-m is a bit of a one trick pony with lots of mids and no real bottom end.

Meh.
I gotta get away from all sites and forumz about basses. Can't focus.
The only real "need" that I now have is a Broadneck fiver. Thumb singlecut would be top notch, but those are even rarer than the Dolphin I need in my life. And too goddamn expensive.

And two hours later........ :P
Good lord in heaven.... That is stunning Bubinga Pommelé!!
Ah, yes, but this is not for me, it's just to share this. I can intercede if anyone wants to buy it. :-)
(but yeah, 35"...)

This Streamette thing, where is the streamer part? Isn't it just a corvette? I don't get it.

The streamers that were found, were they re shaped into a corvette body but with contoured backs?

the body parts of the streamette where from the 91 infinette production and predate the corvette the ltd model was officially called streamer corvette.
From that model both corvette (bo) and infinity (nt) where derived.
The streamer corvette design was very close to the infinity design already thus infinette.
I don't know who created the streamette name but it serves well to distinguish itfrom the infinette:).

I like that you say that the Streamettes were from the same production but it is quite easy to 'prove' that the Streamette is not an Infinette blank with the neck cut off. :)
