Doesn't Ebay have their own International Shipping system? I know the Jimmie Earl I got from the UK was a Breeze, and quite affordable. (I should be picking it up today!!!!) They also calculated the Duties & taxes due up front. Total for Everything was under 200 Lbs. (Not sure of the Proper British Pound Symbol, Sorry!) Does it say what year that bass is? I have This basses Evil, Fretted Cousin with Pewter hardware and Nordstrom / Aguilar electronics. 2005 year though...

No Ebay does nothing more than take a cut.

That James Earl model was cool. Surprised you got it Anthony- you got used to the narrow spacing now?

Any one in Germany nearby that could assist with shipping? 8:

Not nearby, sorry. Also there would be the risk that it get´s lost in my bass storage room.

I suffer BASS, you know? Bass Acquisition and Sorage Syndrome!

eBay does have their own International Shipping Program.

For me, the seller would ship their item to the eBay depot in Kentucky, where eBay fills out custom forms and ships the item to me in Canada. If the item is an hour away from me in the States, the seller would have to ship it to Kentucky instead of to me. eBay also adds an opaque, >20% "♣♣♣♣ you" "import fee".

The advantage is that sellers can ship internationally with no headache to them. The disadvantage is that import fee can be massive, is indisputable, and ultimately cuts into the amount I'm willing to bid. I've used it several times already, because the choice is often "use the program, or don't get the item".

Out of necessity! I can usually Spread the strings out to 17.5mm, which is not bad. I got the Earl today. Actually the previous owner has the strings Closer Together than normal! I'm guessing he's a Steely Eyed Slapper! I'll post pics in the Streamer Club if anyone is interested...

It isn't a Stage I as advertised but £650 or offers, seems cheap enough for a 96 German made, BO 5 string!
