The Heads Up Thread

The three-piece aspect of it must help the stability considerably. The basses I'm referring to have one-piece maple necks.

Ummmmmm here's a fretless voluted fretless Wenge neck for a 4-string Warwick out of France....

Henry, you looking to make your Buzzard fretless?

Yeah I have been looking for a streamer jazzman, and then saw this and thought, why not get something different from what I have? Gave myself a day to think about and, well, you snooze you lose.

Letting the Green Pro2 go, seller don't accept PayPal. And sells without gigbag or case.

BECAUSE THE COST OF A NEW WARWICK IS 7000 DOLLAR, I'M ONLY ASKING 3500 FOR THIS BASS I PAID 3000 FOR AROUND 10 YEARS AGO. THAT'S A VERY GOOD DEAL IN THE CURRENT ECONOMY.

90% of current Warwick sellers.

It's almost sickening, insulting even.

I remember this one auction where a dude had a used Thumb he insisted was in "new" condition, so he took $500 off the Musiciansfriend price and put that as his starting bid. He actually had the nerve to say something like "get $500 an essentially new bass".

Naturally, the hippies will say "it's his bass, he can list it for as much as he wants". They, of course, are missing the point.

Here's proof it's not the point:

The only reason I don't own an old Streamer is because any that I've seen with broken headstocks are on the early models before the volute was routed for strength. I would love to have that SSI, but old Warwicks are a risky buy to me for that reason.

I don't think it is that risky... Probably they cracked for a good reason (like a weird stage accident or something), but I don't think if you buy a new one and take good care of it it will crack.
BTW, last crack I've seen was on a PS Corvette :-)
