terrible amp buzzing

well, I just received my ProFet 3.2 today, but I am sad to say i am pretty sure it is faulty. It makes a terrible buzzing noise when connected to the cab, or to headphones. There is nothing I can do to prevent it buzzing, it buzzes like crazy regardless of the volume or gain or EQ levels. I do not wish to open the amp up, as this will void the warranty, so I need your help as to what to do with it.

It sounds like a short. check your cable from your bass to the amplifier. if that's not it, chances are that it is a short in the amp or bad shielding (other signals interrupting yours).

yeah i guess that is my only option. this has put me right off warwick amps though. its also really annoying because the place where i bought it from took over 3 weeks to order one in for me, and now its probably gonna be about another 4 weeks till i get another one :-(
 
Hey - it's a shame, but it happens with every manufacturer from time to time.

It certainly sounds faulty. Send it back and have it replaced.

I don't know what your local support is like over there, but one of the great things about Warwick here is the no nonsense support.

Your dealer will make it right, and everything will be great I'm sure.

Return it & jump up & down a bit. It shouldnt take 3 weeks to get a warwick amp to london.

It sounds like you may have been un lucky to get a faulty one. Dont be put off warwick amps though, great amps especially for the $$ you pay.

Seriously man don't be put off by Warwick. I've got two basses, and amp and cab, and with the exception of a connection on the cab, I've never had a problem. I will continue to use Warwick. Every now and then you get that Friday afternoon job. It happens to all makes, even the best and stupidly expensive.
 
True - I've had 3 Warwick basses, 6 Rockbasses, 8 Warwick amps, and 4 Warwick cabs.

I'm yet to have a problem (or should that read I have a problem).

i have a feeling it has something to do with the power supply. should the plug have a 13A fuse in it?
 
My Warwick Amp just went down for the second time and I've only owned it for 7 months. I'm done with Warwicks made in China crap. I'll buy their Basses as long as they keep making them in Germany but thats it. Nothing else from Warwick.
