some are nice, some are not, but all are expensive, and all show the nice craftsmanship.

I really like Jens Ritter's creations and his artistic mind, but I stick with Warwick. :twisted:
 
This already seems rather artwork! The third (black) is pure elegance as a mercedez car! But is playable like a normal bass?

If Ritter were designing Mercedes cars..................they would cost like 10 million bucks. :shock:
 
they look a bit too out there, not really my thing.
 
Seeing those upper horns entices fantasies of trying to exert enough force on one of them to break it off. Surely they can support the bass' weight with a strap, but I dunno...

If maybe just for the fun of breaking such expensive instruments.
 
I don't quite like the body shape, but hell they sound really really good. Very crisp.
 
Ok, the blue one is nice. But the rest arent. What's up with that fretless, wheres the tuners?
 
The look of Ritters is an aquired taste, I've found...

They eventually grow on you if you give them time...

They are crazy expensive, but are superb feats of craftsmanship.

I personally like his "Okon" line:

I actually like the fretless one.... very sleek.

It's a total less is more concept. 8)
 
If I could afford to own a Ritter, I would - but then I'd be too afraid to ever play it!

They are beautiful works of art and I like the innovation of putting the input jack and preset switches on the rear control plate like this:


But it would be hard to take on stage and see it get even the slightest damage or even a fingerprint! What's the point of having a bass you're never gonna play? I guess it would look nice as a collector's piece, if you had a big house and a special temp and humidity controlled bass/art room/museum just for showing off...

For me, it crosses the line of masterpiece and practicality...but some have money to burn, so a Ritter might be for them an affordable "beater" bass...

You can keep all that bling and fru-fru. Just gimme this'n, minus the fanger on the headstock.
Maybe even make the head a lot smaller and simpler, just enuf to hang on a stand:
