ok here we go, my first CS idea

a NT thumb 6 string fretless
-macassar ebony body
-wenge neck
-ebony fingerboard
-black hardware
-the Cross inlay at the 12th fret area
-blue LED W on headstock and neck
-natural finish
-bartolini soapbar pickups

it might not be heaps CSed out but its exactly how i want it so thats all that matters

you digging it?

i want the hardest woods Warwick use so if there are harder woods than what i have specified then please correct me!
i wont know unless you tell me!

the sandblast finish is only available on Ash and French ash bodies, sorry to burst your bubble.... :S

As for hardest and densest wood, no Warwick wood in denser, heavier, and more badass than Ebony... problem is: it's darn expensive!

You want the heaviest thumb possible? get an ebony top and back, and a wenge neck with ebony stringers... that should weight a ton and a half!
 
can you get just pure ebony through and through for the body jan :? ?
 
it would probably weigh in at like 6.5kg easy ay?
 
Well you'd need to get a 1" ebony top, for 1200 euros, and a 1" ebony back, for another 1200 euros, and the ebony stringers in the neck are another 800 euros or so... so yeah, not only heavy, but rather expensive as well!

He does a job in photoshop, he'll take a slab of macassar ebony and shape it like a thumb, with a 6 string neck, put in the LEDs, the right pickups, it's really sweet. ;)

I know, neither of them is fretless, but it gives a general idea of that an ebony thumb might look like...

I had a nice dream last night. Me and my band were on a huge stage, playing awesome songs, and I stand there with a thumb NT 5 string (!) supported by a huge stack of Warwick cabinets =)

I should get down to the music shop and try some 5'ers, maybe my next bass will be a thumb NT 5 string? =P
Something is really appealing about the lob B string.

Well it dosen't surprise me that much, but you would be paying over 5000 euros to f*ck your shoulders up ;D
 
If you have that kind of money, paying for a chiropractor shouldn't be too much of a problem, unless you use all your money on the bass... :D
