Stupid Question?

That question has popped out before here in the Forum. The original name of the bass was supposed to be Altus, but some other company in (flute manufacturer) had the name registered so we ended up using FNA which stand simply for Fine Nice Axe.
 
I thought it was f#%&*ing nice axe.But I'm usually wrong about these things.

hmm... you never can tell who's joking around the Warwick factory when you ask questions like this. I'll just say I've heard a number of suggestions offered as to what F.N.A. stands for. And everyone swears they're telling the truth.

Formerly Named Altus was also a rumoured one too ;)

But as funny as it is, we have to show respect the fellow brands out there, as many of them have been around for many years, and have offered the industry great ideas in the past, even if now some other new generations have surpassed their success on providing the best sounding instruments in the market.

I agree and can see where you’re coming from. Obviously you being a representative of Warwick on this forum needs a certain air of professional care and respect for fellow manufactures, which is totally understandable. 'Best sounding' is a mixture of technical fact and preference. Someone could spend £3000 on a bass for super fresh, modern crisp tones, but then someone would also want to just spend £350 on a simple bass built to good standard with tone that is just...what they want.

Theres too many options to choose from for anything music related now. its what you like best at the end of the day.

I agree. I have respect for Fender [and for other brands] and when I said that I like the "Fender? Never Again!" FNA interpretation I underlined my options which, at this time, has to do only with Warwick.

I hope that no one was/is offended!
 
I agree as well. however, the only Fender product I will ever own is my 1968 Pro Reverb :D

Its a personal style and judgement thing, Im not saying that Fender, or any other brand is bad in any way. Each has something the others dont offer.
